We have an unshakable conviction that our caregivers
are the most important asset and strength in our service commitment
to our clients. Our distinguishing edge is exemplified by our
caregivers that speak many languages, including English, Japanese,
Chinese, Tagalog, Spanish and more. As a culturally sensitive
provider, we are keenly aware of our client's cultural differences
in their beliefs, values, behaviors and attitudes. Our clients
and loved ones trust us to listen, acknowledge, understand,
respect and respond to their cultural convictions in a manner
that does not compromise their care and well-being.
When we staff our caregivers, we look for motivated people with
a caring nature, strong sense of responsibility and a heart
for service. All of our caregivers are CPR certified, undergo
extensive background checks, tested for TB and must pass a written
assessment test. In addition, all of our caregivers are employees
of Millennia Personal Care Services, covered by professional
liability insurance, workers' compensation, employee dishonesty
bond and meticulously screened under the ongoing supervision
of our Director of Training & Education. Our caregivers include
Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Certified Home Health Aides
(CHHAs), Companions and Personal Care Aides.

| We take great pride in our ongoing training
and education program for our caregivers, which has evolved
over one decade of continuous improvement. We are a member of
the National Private Duty Association, which has its mission
to enhance the strength and professionalism of home care agencies
through education and identification of best practices. By following
their guidelines and infusing our expertise, our Director of
Training & Education, a nurse specialized in long-term care
and caregiver training from the U.S. and Japan, is responsible
for developing the highest caregiving skills and teaching proper
etiquette and common courtesy. In order for our caregivers to
increase their knowledge and skills, we provide a monthly in-service
programs in a variety of topics. |
